Bio2Vec collaborative project begins

Bio2Vec is a collaborative project between researchers from Saudi Arabia, Germany and the Netherlands. It involves the research groups of Associate Professor Xin Gao and Assistant Professor Robert Hoehndorf from the Computational Bioscience Research Center of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Professor Jens Lehmann from the University of Bonn and Distinguished Professor Michel Dumontier from Maastricht University.

Officially launching on April 1, 2018, the Bio2Vec project will focus on developing smart data analytics in life sciences. It will allow users to integrate and analyze large-scale heterogenous life science data, generate embeddings from text and knowledge graphs to learn representations of proteins, drugs, phenotypes, diseases, and interactions, and provide a repository of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data and models.

Bio2Vec is sponsored by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
